    2024 – Overwintered Nucs

    In 2024 as nucs become available we will post the sizes and types here, on Facebook, via email and also Craigslist. These will be sold on a first come – cash (or check) and carry – pick up only basis. If you have any questions email Mary.

    An overwintered nuc contains a locally mated, proven queen with a great brood pattern, brood of all ages, and food (honey & pollen). The frames are covered with healthy bees.

    • Available April and May.

    Local Survivor Queens – As Available

    Only virgin queens will be sold between the middle of April through the end of May as available.

    A great many beekeepers believe in re-queening every fall to keep their apiary stock strong.

    New World Carniolan, Kona Carniolan, Olivarez Carniolan and Carniolan/Italian hybrid and an early breed of Saskatraz are now Saint Mary’s Apiaries Survivor stock.

    Very gentle. Great honey producers. Great brood patterns. Many are this year’s queens. These queens may or may not be marked. They are the best of the best.

    The Kings Honey is pure, natural, raw, local honey from the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. It has never been heated, pasteurized, nor filtered; only strained. This leaves pollen grains and all the phytonutrients in the honey.
